How it all began…

My mom introduced me to the magical world of sewing when I was 5 years old, and I have been passionate about it ever since.

Growing up, I wasn’t so interested in Barbie — it was Barbie’s Dream House that really sparked my imagination. As I began working with scraps of fabric, thread, and a whole lot of creativity on that tiny scale, I realized that I wanted to create beautiful surroundings for people someday.

I love what I do every day, and it shows!

The creativity, patterns, colors, and textures I get to work with on a daily basis are amazing. Taking a client's or designer's ideas and making them come to life — adding those finishing touches that express their own style to their surroundings — just makes me smile.

Learning new skills, attending seminars, and collaborating with colleagues keeps my passion for my craft fresh and exciting, even after more than three decades in the business. There is always something new to learn — and talking shop… I can go on for days! I believe that’s one of the gifts of loving what you do.
